GRETA THUNBERG E LA SUA LOTTA PER LA SOSTENIBILITÀ AMBIENTALE
Greta Thunberg ha "svegliato" le nuove generazioni
Prima della nascita di Greta Thunberg, ricordiamo un tempo in cui non si sapeva neanche cosa fosse la sostenibilità ambientale, un tempo dove l'interesse per la natura si limitava ai documentari.
In quel tempo viveva una generazione di persone che non si era mai posta il problema dell'ambiente e dei cambiamenti climatici, persone che buttavano tutto quello che c'era da buttare ovunque capitasse, che consumavano tutto quello che si poteva consumare senza nessun'altra considerazione che per il loro interesse personale.
Ci piace pensare che oggi sia impensabile gettare una bottiglia di plastica a terra senza essere rimproverati da chi vi sta di fianco.
Mentre ieri, non esisteva neanche il pensiero di quello che si poteva fare per difendere la natura, soprattutto perché, in parole semplici, si pensava di essere "troppo piccoli" per poter fare la differenza, nel bene o nel male.
Ma è un pensiero sbagliato, ieri come oggi.
I boomers (nati tra gli anni 50 e 70) sono stati abbastanza influenti da esasperare la crisi climatica mondiale e (si spera che) i giovani della generazione Z (nati tra gli anni 90 e il 2010) saranno abbastanza forti da risolverla.
Seppure, la realtà dei fatti è che ancora oggi vediamo persone gettare "cose" a terra.
La cosa più sciocca, più semplice e di cui si parla tanto.
Nel corso degli anni sembra che non siamo migliorati molto, anzi, sotto alcuni aspetti siamo decisamente peggiorati rispetto alle passate generazioni.
Greta Thunberg fa parte della generazione Z e per quanto molti continuino ad attaccarla affermando che questa "ragazzina" venga manovrata, perché il suo volto è riuscito a smuovere le acque ai piani alti dell'economia.

Although, the reality of the facts is that even today we see people throwing "sings" to the ground.
The most silly, simplest thing and talked about a lot.
Over the years it seems that we have not improved much, in fact, in some respects we have definitely worsened compared to past generations.
Greta Thunberg is part of Generation Z and although many continue to attack her by stating that this "girl" is being maneuvered, because her face has managed to move the waters at the top floors of the economy.

Tra i nuovi, piccoli difensori dell'ambiente, una ragazzina più di tutti ha fatto sentire la sua voce, la ormai famosissima Greta Thunberg.
Stando alle parole del padre, quando lei sentì parlare di cambiamento climatico per la prima volta aveva 8 anni e la cosa la colpì così tanto che nei giorni seguenti smise di mangiare perdendo 10 chili in due mesi.
Nel 2018, quella stessa bambina "marinava" la scuola per protestare davanti al parlamento svedese contro la crisi climatica.
Si piazzò lì, con le sue treccine e il suo cartello scritto a mano per dire ai "grandi" che dovevano smetterla di fregarsene e che le conseguenze delle loro azioni sarebbero ricadute sulle generazioni future.
"Come posso andare a scuola per migliorare il mio futuro se il mio futuro è a rischio" urlava mostrando al mondo intero come il cambiamento sia necessario, che non siamo troppo piccoli, ne troppo soli per fare la differenza.
Greta ha dimostrato con i fatti che "una singola azione può fare la differenza".

Basti pensare che nel 2019 le vendite di libri per bambini dedicati alla crisi ambientale sono raddoppiate, così come le donazioni ai movimenti di protesta e alle associazioni no-profit.
In Gran Bretagna un sondaggio di YouGov ha registrato un record nei livelli di attenzione al problema climatico:

- Tra lo 0% e il 6% delle persone ritiene che non si stia verificando alcun cambiamento climatico;
- Tra l'1% e il 9% affermano che il cambiamento climatico sta avvenendo, ma che non ha nulla a che fare con attività umana;
- Tra il 35% ed il 71% affermano che l'uomo è il primo responsabile dei cambiamenti climatici;
- Tra il 23% ed il 48% affermano che l'uomo è solo in parte responsabile.
